GCON was proud to be part of the Goodwill project, knowing their impact in the community.  This new Goodwill location was a former exotic car dealership.  The project started with demolition to the raised office in the center of the building.  A wall was added to rear of building in order to create a stock room.  Storefront modifications included the addition of fitting rooms, breakroom, IT room, managers office and restrooms.  New lighting was installed throughout.  The main entrance door was removed and widened while four front windows were blocked out to offer additional shelving.  Sliding doors and ceiling tile from the dealership were reused, offering cost savings to the client.  Exterior changes included a new loading dock, roll up door and parking configuration when the detail shop was removed from the lot.

Camelback Place at Dysart

This tenant improvement of a retail center included various businesses. Capri Cleaners, a 2,000 square foot dry cleaning facility, is comprised of two cleaning machines, roof top chillers and a full boiler room. Ashby Tile, a 1,500 square foot showroom with additional space for product storage warehouse. Embroider Me, 2,000 square foot sewing and silk screen showroom, workshop and retail area. Scorz Sports Grill, is comprised of 4,000 square foot restaurant and bar. Improvements included installation of full kitchen, stained concrete floors, surround sound and ample seating. TN Haircutters, 1,500 square foot hair salon for six stylists with separate shampoo and dryer area.

GCON transformed a former Italian restaurant into a two Italian dining venues, a modern pizzeria, Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana and a casual dining eatery, Toscana Osteria. This is the third location of Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana and features a wood oven pizza station.  Customers can watch their pizza being prepared and cooked in under two minutes in the more than 900 degree wood oven.  The restaurant has the feel of a classic rustic bistro with a custom mural on the back wall.  The transformation included a new bar, patio addition with seating and a market for a true italian experience.

Culinary Drop Out

GCON converted a former historic museum in the Tempe Farmers Art District to a new multi-use indoor/outdoor restaurant with recreational activity areas.  Total square footage is just under 30,000 ft.  Several concepts make up this unique establishment.  The hall area, The Showcase Room, is a for rent space that can be used for meetings, banquets and receptions.  A full service restaurant, The Culinary Dropout,  provides food and beverage service to the The Yard, which is the recreational and outdoor portion of the facility.  The Yard offers games such as corn hole toss, ping pong and shuffle board as well as numerous televisions so patrons won’t miss their favorite sporting events.  An additional outdoor space, The Coop, can be rented for private party space. GCON’s scope of work included demo, addition and complete build-out along with site/civil work for street improvements and parking lot development.
